Welcome to Premier Secondary

Premier Secondary school is divided into two sections - Junior Secondary (Year 7 to 9) and Senior Secondary (Year 10 to 12). We run the British and Nigerian curriculums. We run the Nigerian curriculums leading to BECE (for JSS3), WAEC, NECO and JAMB (for SS3). We run the British curriculums leading to IGCSE. We have a wide range of extra curricular activities. We run clubs which span across Sports, Music, Art, Science, Health and safety, Dance, ICT, Cookery, Chess etc.

Why Premier Secondary?

Targeted learning support

We provide targeted academic remedial to ensure that no student is left behind or allowed to coast. We run different intervention programmes for pupils who require extra support in academics. Our reinforcement lessons are skill-based; we focus on helping to improve on individual pupils' skills. We have a wide range of extra curricular activities. We run 34 clubs which span across Sports, Music, Art, Science, Health and safety, Dance, ICT, Cookery, Gardening etc.

We run the Nigerian curriculums leading to BECE (for JSS3), WAEC, NECO and JAMB (for SS3)

Partnership and accreditation

Our school is an accredited center for Cambridge Checkpoint Exam. And in partnership British Council Partner Schools Global Network and Association of International School Educators of Nigeria. All our teachers have attained requisite National and international trainings and certifications (such as CAIE trainings, Microsoft Certified Educator, Google Certified Educator, etc.) to ensure international standard. Most of our teachers have trained in teaching Cambridge Primary Checkpoint.

Some of our Achievements

4.5 average out of 6.0 in 2019 Cambridge Primary Checkpoint result in English, 3.9 average out of 6.0 in 2019 Cambridge Primary Checkpoint result in Mathematics, 2.9 average out of 6.0 in 2019 Cambridge Primary Checkpoint result in Science.

Outstanding performance in Loyola Jesuit College Entrance Exam for several years; 2018 - 8 pupils gained admission, 2019 - 8 pupils gained admission and 2020 - 9 pupils gained admission. A total number of 120 pupils successfully passed the Loyola entrance exam in Nigeria 8 of these were from Premier International School.

Outstanding performance in NTIC/NMC mathematics competitions for several years and About 80% of our teachers are certified as Microsoft Educators. Overall 3rd position in NTIC 2019 Mathematics competition. Between position 1 and 20 in the overall result, we have 12 students from our school.

Premier International School claimed 7 positions between the 1st and 10th positions National Mathematics Competition.

I love Premier because it has changed my kids’ perception about education. I was battling with Jehu in terms of reading and hand writing but after a week in premier, he was already writing like a professional. I used to thing cursive hand writing was meant for Artists but my little baby in Nursery 1 is already writing in cursive. I am so impressed with the school in the sense that visual method of teaching is one of the best for kids because it sticks more than just learning in class.
